To help you achieve this goal, we encourage each of our patients to establish a relationship in early infancy. If your child isn’t an infant, we still encourage you to find a “dental home” that best serves your child’s pediatric dental needs. The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that your child visits a pediatric dentist six months (6 mos) after the eruption of their first tooth or by one year (1 yr) of age, whichever is first. By seeing your child at such a young age, we are better able to provide you with the guidance you will need to help prevent the development and progression of many common dental problems noted in infancy and early childhood (e.g. cavities, elevated bacterial levels, pain, swelling, decalcification, etc…)
